Mr. Wayne Davis, Chair and Co-Head of BSF’s Agricultural Project
A mechanical engineer, Mr. Davis works as a self-employed consultant for several manufacturers. He resides in York and leads our cooperative formation efforts in Ghana.
Robert Davis, MD, Vice-Chair and Head of BSF Medical Missions
No relation to our chair, Dr. Robert Davis was a General Surgeon in the US Navy and is a retired plastic surgeon. Dr. Davis resides in York and has traveled to over 50 sites on various medical missions.
Seth Mac Quartey, MD., Co-Founder
Dr. Quartey was born in Accra, Ghana, and has lived in the US since 1981. He also resides in York and is an infectious disease specialist with York Hospital.
Grace T Quartey, CPA, MBA, Co-Founder and Executive Director
Mrs. Quartey, the wife of Dr. Seth Quartey, was also born in Accra, Ghana and has lived in the USA since 1986. She is a self-employed CPA with an office in York. Her practice serves individuals, small businesses and non-profit organizations, and she is active in her community.
Mr. Kenneth Wood, Head of BSF’s Water Projects
Kenneth Wood is a master well driller and owner of Lifetime Well Drilling Company. He has been drilling wells since 1961 and has owned Lifetime Well Drilling since 1968. He lives in Denton, MD.
Mr. Steve Shellenberger, Head of Environmental & Sanitation Projects for BSF
Mr. Shellenberger is the owner and CEO of the Shellenberger family of companies in York, PA. Mr. Shellenberger has been in the trucking industry for more than 40 years, most of that time in sales and marketing. He is very active in several community service organizations in the York area.
Mr. Eldred Atkinson, Head of BSF’s Agricultural Projects
Mr. Atkinson is a retired high school math teacher and a former US Marine Corps aviation electrician (rank: sergeant). He has traveled extensively in Europe, Central America, and the USA. Mr. Atkinson is very active in several community service organizations and lives in York, PA.
Mrs. Sara Atkinson, Head of Education Projects for BSF
Mrs. Atkinson is retired and has served as a public school educator. She was formerly the Director of the York County Literacy Council and Director of Volunteer Services at Wellspan Health System in York, PA. She has traveled extensively in Europe and the USA.
Mrs. Beverly Cullen, Secretary of the Board
Mrs. Cullen is a co-owner of Online Avenue, a multi-media corporation based in Etters, PA. Mrs. Cullen has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry as financial consultant and commercial banker. Mrs. Cullen is active in several community service organizations.
Mrs. Pamela A Barnhart, Treasurer
Mrs. Barnhart is an accounting associate with Seligman, Friedman and Company, PC, where she has worked for over 11 years; she also provides bookkeeping and computer support services to various clients in and around the York area.
Mrs. Nancy Miller, RN, MBA, Head of BSF’s Nursing Program
Mrs. Miller, is a nurse educator with WellSpan in York, PA She has been a nurse for 40 years with half of that spent in Cardiovascular Nursing and the other half in Education and Special Projects. At present, she is part of a team of nurses developing the electronics medical record for clinicians at York Hospital.
